Distance learning programs in veterinary technology accredited by the AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA)

9/12/16 NCAVT has been notified that as of now the state of NC, NC Board of Governors and NC Community College System has changed the requirements for out of state schools to be able to operate clinical, externship, or internship courses within NC. NC has determined that an out of state school has a physical presence in NC if they have requirements for internships/externships/clinical hours and those are being performed in NC. That being the case, they are assessing fees to the schools on an annual basis for the ability to operate with a physical presence in NC.

Please check with the school you are interested in to make sure you can complete all course work while in the state of NC.
